1. Hinduism – Journey of Punarjanm Reincarnation is a central belief in Hinduism. It is believed here that the soul is immortal, only the body changes. In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says: “Just as a person takes off old clothes and wears new ones, similarly the soul leaves the old body and takes on a new body.” Its ultimate goal is moksha—freedom from the birth-death cycle.
2. Buddhism – From Samsara to Nirvana Buddhism also believes in reincarnation, but here the focus is more on freedom from suffering. 3. Jainism – Perfect Balance of Karma Jain philosophy says that every soul is eternal and takes new births according to its karmic record. Moksha is attained when all the karmas are exhausted. 4. Sikhism – The way to connect with God Sikhism also has the concept of rebirth. Guru Granth Sahib says that the soul goes through the cycle of birth and death until it joins Waheguru. Here the focus is on God’s grace and reciting His name.
5. Christianity – Not officially, but… Mainstream Christianity (Catholicism, Protestantism, Orthodox) does not accept reincarnation. Its belief is based on resurrection and eternal life—judgment day comes after one life. But, some sects of early Christianity like Gnostics and Cathars believed in reincarnation.
